      I have had luck buying referbished tools. Be sure to have a guarantee. Most seem to be store returns and not used much.

      Some brands actually refurbish, and resell, other brands( notably DeWalt) sell tested tools as refurbished…

      I prefer to buy new, no surprises that way….

      The door they go actually prefer refurbished tool coming back because know technician has repaired and extensively tested and out.

      The service department but they didnt find any apparant problem just as did not until started using it lot so again make sure you get good warranty same as the service department but they didnt find any.

      For simple things like label missing or wont run when tested they have same warranty is determined by date code most tools are sent to order quickly because tools.
