im sending a u.k power tool, it’s only a portable cordless power drill, but the charger has three pins so could they be able to charge the battery up on polish power points as they use two pin plugs and use 220 volts instead of uk 250 volts?

The voltage is fine, but they will need an adaptor. If you can send them an adaptor as well, it’s best. You can find adaptors in most electric appliance stores in UK, I don’t know if they are so much available in Poland.

Check if the voltage range of the appliance will comply.
Also they will need either an adapter to allow the UK plug to connect to a Polish socket, or they need to change the plug entirely.
Personally I wouldn’t send it because even though it will likely work, if anything goes wrong with it and, say, it causes a fire, their insurers will say the device was not made for the Polish market and may block any claim.

The voltage is ok, and all we would do here is to cut the wire and put a Polish Plug on the end of the wire so it fits our sockets.

lol, then you don’t know that half of the tools here are sold on the markets and come from Ukraine, Russia or China and do not pass any safety laws, although this is a bad thing, give me a British power tool anyday

the voltage is fine they will just need a new adaptor and it will be fine

There are some aspects that you have to consider:
1. Voltage is irrelevant: it is 230 V both in Poland and in the UK.
2. The most important difference is that the UK plug has a fuse inside. So even if you use an adapter, blowing the fuse may cause a problem with repairing the plug in the charger. But in some stores you can find spare plugs one could use instead of the UK plug. Not as sturdy as the sealed plug/wire combination, but workable.
And mind you: most appliances have three-pin plugs, with the “earth” facing in the opposite direction as the remaining two. Only small appliances as hairdryers or shavers have two-pin plugs.
