Does anyone know the name and brand of the power tool that serves both as drill and jig saw?

portlandguy78 asked:

I saw a commercial for a new tool that can be used as either a drill or a jig saw and didnt catch the brand name or the name of the tool. I went to Sears and they had no idea what I was talking about. I looked on Black and Deckers website and couldnt find it there so I dont think that was them. Thanks in advance!

There are several out there. The brand that comes to mind is Roto-Zip.

      Try Dremell……

Dremel makes an attachment to go with their tool… it comes with drywall cutting bits…

RotoZip is another product made for what you have described, and comes with many optional attachments…

and of course there is always ebay, hehehe… just do a search for Roto Tool…. you will come up with a lot of optional bits, RotoZip tools, and other brands.

Technically it`s called a rotary saw. The commercial you saw was probably for roto-zip. If used correctly they`re a great tool, although they`re a bit light for commercial use. Lowes carries the Dewalt version. It`s less expensive and is a snap to change the bit.
