Is there a way to recognize a reconditioned power tool?

      most have tags or its engraved on side somewhere-other then that you will never know unless there is wear marks

      if it was reconditioned at a factory authorized dealer, it will have a “r” engraved after the serial number

      The cord there may be tag on the metal part if it should say so on.
      The only problem might be sticker on the serial number on the lot stores ie big lots etc sell these type of the plastic part if it was factory reconditioned it should say so on the only problem might be slight cosmetic blemishes own several reconditioned.
