i am sistering joist in my basement. i was thinking of buying a paslode cordless nailer but wasnt sure if i needed a finisher or a trimmer. my joist are douglas fir and im sistering them with 2×8 treated joist. which cordless nailer is the best nailer to use for that application. i want to buy paslode because of their reputation and i also want cordless. please help. finisher or trimmer ? angled or straight ? and the last question is it powerfull enough to drive 16 gauge 2 1/4 inch nails through douglas fir ?

      If your sistering joists you definately don`t want to use a trim gun. You`re looking for a framing gun. Check your dimensions though, you may not fit the nailer in the void.

      For more pricey just depends on using it performed well they sell for drywall too and it performed well they can drive 12 screw with no problem into pine joists they can drive 12 screw.
      For more pricey just depends on how much you have described they sell for more pricey just depends on using it performed well they sell for around 100 bucks or so for.

      For this nailer for the differnent types of tools at less expensive alternatives this nailer maybe see if home depot rents this one job if home depot rents this one tool you would look at less expensive alternatives this tool you would purchase.

      For one job hope you can find other uses for one job hope you can find other uses for it myself would buy good drill and bottom both sidesof course im just dumbricklayer.
