..when i was in 7th grade, i made a key holder..a coffee cup holder..jewel box…parents still have the cup holder on the kitchen table and anything to use the drill…love that thing
A wooden little car…it’s fun…and easy, I mean, no ones wants to make a table or a chair..hmm well the table saounds good also because seems easy but hmmm big pieces of wood lol…anyways do something fun, if you are just a begginner something easy…
I home schooled my kids and when their friends in public school did woodworking, mine did, too. Their father taught them to make a headboard for their bed and then I showed them how to do wood burning. My two sons still have these headboards for their children. One wood burning headboard has a western scene on it and my other son put all the names of his favorite bands and music he liked at the time.
My grandsons are enjoying these, now.
has a multitude of free patterns as well as many woodworking projects and books. Many were out of print, but Dover will still have them.
She made :
A planter for Mother’s Day
Two little benches or small low end tables
A puzzle for her little brother
The best was and adirandeck chair
A door stop
A shelf
Good luck.

you might try making a nightstand for your room. There maybe lots of cool thing to make. Even a head board for your bed.
