      if it for outside then why not try a timber decking step kit (from most good builders merchants) you can buy the string sizes you need and just add the treads to suit.

      Certainly there are hundreds of specific sites found in a general search of the If I was doing the job however, I might also consider a Ramp rather than, or in addition to, Steps.

      Beyond that, without knowing the height you need, I’d probably buy treated “Stringers” and Treated lumber for Treads at least, if not risers.

      Certainly there is a “BLUE” book available specific to the Cuts, etc, for crafting your own from 2 x stock, and will suggest an adjustable Triangle framing square as part of the process, with details on measurements, etc… But I’d go with pre-made.

      The RAMP could be framing notched appropriately, with exterior ply as the face, and removed when not needed allowing access to the steps.
